When providing solutions for ballistic & blunt-force impact we employ a process that involves the following critical stages. We first undertake to completely identify and analyze a given threat with theoretical and experimental investigation.
Once the threat is characterized and quantified we move on to understanding what the threat's affects will be on the human body. It is interesting to note that our Human Factors and Biomimetics knowledge allows us to readily pinpoint human vulnerability areas and to know how to effectively protect these areas. The threat's affect on the body is crucial to understand since without this knowledge the problem is often misunderstood and protection may not be adequately present or the product may in fact be "over-designed" and thus be too heavy and/or too expensive for what is really needed for the situation.
The last stage is when we move on to "building" the actual solutions that will redirect and nullify impacting energy from a bullet or blunt-object that is contacting with the body. Included here we also mention our expertise with creating solutions for stab protection and multi-functional/hybrid products offering combined levels of ballistic, stab, blunt-impact, and heat protection.
Our expertise in this area of science and knowledge was arrived at and perfected after many years of repeatedly moving through the above process for numerous protective apparel and equipment products for a diverse range of threats.
