Projects and
achievements
Soldiers often have to change their positions during tactical and operational maneuvers, adopting a static or knee vertical position as well as running or crawling. In many cases, their knees and elbows often strike the ground, a wall or rough edges and must therefore be adequately protected to enable soldiers to accomplish their mission.
TECHNICAL REALIZATION
A biomimicry study was performed to understand the mechanisms of lobster tail shells. These principles were then applied to the design of a protective equipment that improves the ease and range of motion.
